If an Alaska Resident purchased a vehicle
from your dealership,
You will need to provide the following:
- The ownership document, one of the following signed off and/or re-assigned correctly:
- Manufacturer Certificate of
Origin (MCO) OR
- Manufacturer Statement of
Origin (MSO) OR
- Title
- Completed
Alaska
Application for Title and Registration signed by the registered owner
If the customer is in the
military, stationed outside Alaska, a current copy
of their Leave and Earning Statement (LES) showing "State Taxes: AK"
*Effective January 2011: Alaska DMV requires ONE of the following on every application for Title and Registration: Alaska Driver’s License, Date of Birth OR Social Security Number.

- DMV registration fee

- $15.00 DMV title fee
- $15.00 DMV lien recording fee
- City Tax due (see
Fees and Taxes) Note:
There is no tax due if customer is
military stationed outside AK with a current copy of the customer’s LES
- $30.00 processing fee
- OPTIONAL: $20.00 Same day service, puts your documents as priority over daily work and guarantees next day mail-out
Please Note: If you are registering your vehicle in the Municipality of Anchorage and your vehicle is 6 years or older, from the current year, you will need an emission test no older than 90 days to renew your registration.

Once the transaction is complete, all
documents
will be mailed back to the dealership OR the title to
the lien holder (if applicable) and the plates and
registration will be mailed directly to the customer.
Instructions
from the dealership need to specify where the documents
should be mailed.
If you need
your transaction returned overnight, include a pre-paid
envelope with your transactions.
